The Making of Dublin<\/strong> is a series of books, published by Four Courts Press<\/em>, in Dublin that traces the history of the city of Dublin from the earliest times to the present day.<\/p>\n

There are currently eight<\/em> volumes in the series.<\/p>\n

Each volume is designed to explore how the streetscape of the city developed and changed over time.\u00a0 It does so using a great many maps, images and photographs.<\/p>\n

The text is designed to be academically rigorous but to appeal to the general reader.\u00a0 There is a substantial bibliography for anyone who wants to explore further<\/p>\n
